Corporate Social Responsibility
K.D. Ebert and Sons Holdings (Pvt) Limited which revolutionized the field of construction in the country with over seventy years of invaluable and prestigious history. And it is our one of the social responsibility to ensure the shearing of growth with community.
Therefore we are significantly delivering many Corporate Social Responsibility Projects (CSR) – the vision being – To be responsible and a caring corporate citizen. The company plays an active role in their communities, contributing to the spiritual and physical welfare of thousands of people.
We have built, repaired and continuously maintained several temples and places of worship, such as Sri Sudharmarama Ancient Viharaya in Maharagama and also built “Wahalkada” of Sri Sudharmarama Viharaya and built gold fence too.
A large donation towards building the second gold fence around the Jaya Sri Mahabodhi in Anuradhapura is also one of our humble contribution.
Many underprivileged homes in Maharagama have been built with our financial and physical assistance. We have made contributions towards refurbishing government hospitals and organized mass-scale blood donations campaigns for the blood bank.
We have helped to uplift the education standards underprivileged students by providing free books and stationery and renovating water supply and drainage facilities in small schools.
And also we have constructed two class room blocks with infrastructure facilities for Computer laboratory to house 100 computers to the Thurstan College Colombo.
We organize large scale religious and welfare activities such as providing articles of worship and dry rations to the devotees. We were privileged indeed to organize food and water provisions for over three hundred thousand devotees who visited the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy during the last exposition of the sacred tooth relic.
Recently we have held a Dengue prevention camp at Maharagama to clean dengue breading places in Maharagama Pradeshiya Saba area. We identified some residential areas to be cleaned as some people do not have resource to do the same themselves such as cleaning of roof gutters, roof, roof slabs etc. And we carried out a mass scale cleaning in the said area.
1st October 2014 commemorate the World Children’s day we have arranged Traffic Demonstration for the Students at Central College, Maharagama .
